Round #1

This week has been hectic with 3 trips to Bunbury for follicle scans, and blood tests daily.  cd12 showed a single dominant follicle at 15mm, lining of 6.5 and estrogen at 650-ish. By cd 16 the follie was 24mm, lining at 9-ish, LH surging, and the previous day’s E2 was an awesome 1800 (thanks to the correct thyroid medication), so we got the thumbs up for ttc.  The lining isn’t fabulous, but it never is (which is my main problem) and we just have to hope that the post ovulation hcg shots sort that out. The other hitch is that DH is away this weekend (timing!) on a 4 day anaesthetic course. We figured Thursday and Friday would have to be enough, and today the fertile mucus has gone, so I’m sure we haven’t missed out on much.

And now for the 2ww.  Feels weird to be going through that again.  Thursday was the anniversary of our last conception, so this week has had all sorts of emotional turmoil attached.

Meanwhile, we’ve decided to start the insems with the surrogate in July.  Her Dr doesn’t see the point of a tracking cycle, so we’ll just jump straight in and see what happens.
